Jack Frost By C.E. Pike
Look out! Look out! Jack Frost is about!| He’s after our fingers and toes; And all through the night, The happy little sprite Is working where nobody knows. He’ll climb each tree, So nimble is he, His silvery powder he’ll shake. To windows he’ll creep And while we’re asleep Such wonderful pictures he’ll make. Across the grass He’ll merrily pass, And change all its greenness to white. Then home he will go And laugh ho, ho ho! What fun I have had in the night.

The changes can be sudden too! Glad winter is gone.:-)
Be too glad winter is gone this year even though it was a mild year. I needed spring and colors and flowers.
Although I scraped a thin layer of ice off my windshield Thursday, the stuff here seems to have been left unscathed for the most part. Nature is unceasing for sure!! Your flowers were gorgeous, hope they come back sevenfold very soon.
Amazing how it can be beautiful and within any given time nature can just take over..
Oh no!
Life is fragile. We are vulnerable because we do not know what the future holds.
Brings the Four Quartets to mind –
If you came this way in may time, you would find the hedges
White again, in May, with voluptuous sweetness,
It would be the same at the end of the journey,
If you came at night like a broken king.
Seems like there’s other than me who could never learn be hospitable when it comes to winter:(
here winter is never extreme but that late frost caught me unprepared. The hosta leaves have turned to jelly. They will all be back.
