“Every day – at the same time – she waits for him. Sometimes she barks to call him. He comes; they rub and greet each other and they go for a walk. They have done this for 5 years and no, they don’t belong to the same owners. The owners did not know until neighbors seeing them together so frequently commented to the cat’s owner, who then followed the dog home which was a distance away – not in a house close or next door. How it started no one knows. Wouldn’t it be great to have friends like this – always?”
Another fine post by Sun Gazing… they say please share, so sometimes I do.
My dear felines passed almost a year ago leaving me as a one dog woman. Cats an dogs may both be pets but very different kind of personalities. I have enjoyed the expression that dogs have masters and cats have servants. This t-shirt design amused me. Bella has also trained me pretty well but no bell ringing.
This is snaged from Snortees, a company making t -shirts. link below.
Austria’s first cat cafe, where customers can have drinks while playing with cats, opens in Vienna.
An interesting new trend has cropped up in Japan: animal cafes. There are over 100 cafes where customers can have tea, coffee and pastries while petting cats, rabbits, dogs, birds, and even goats in some places. There are several reasons for the emergence of such establishments. One is the decline in the number of adults with children. Many adults in the 20-30 age range are unmarried or in a relationship without children. Visiting an animal cafe is a social, almost familiar experience without the responsibilities of taking care of a companion animal. Other customers want pets at home, but their jobs consume too much time to care for a pet. http://www.care2.com/greenliving/animal-cafes-offer-drinks-and-petting.html#ixzz1v2L9qCD
In my public library years ago, you could take you book and a guinea pig to your table to read. I don’t remember reading but I did like the guinea pig!
